I bet you're asking what "design exception" means exactly. Well, let me tell ya: IRD has been working tirelessly on the updated Cafam (refined tumbling, snappier return, improved barrel adjusters, etc.). And they"re REALLY good. That said, a few batches were made that didn't adhere to the spec'd design. Yup, they were all "design exceptions."
The affected levers have a cable slot that's on the front of the lever instead of on the underside, aligned with the lever body. A flaw that doesn't alter performance and means that you get a deal!
These are all unused, NIB levers that we're selling. They are also sold as-is and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Only order these if you really want them as we won't be taking any of these back.
